What you thinkThe first few dozen pages recorded very ordinary things—exams, ball games, who had upset whom. After the date jumped to that day, the handwriting suddenly became larger and more chaotic: "No classes today. The teacher told us to stay in the gymnasium. Mom said she's coming to pick me up." Flipping further, only the same sentence appeared seven times, once per day, with the final entry only half-written.
