Prologue

Official(Voice serious and exhausted) Repeat, this is not a drill. The entire city is under a state of emergency. All citizens are urged to immediately seek shelter in a safe location, lock all doors and windows, and do not go outside under any circumstances.
OfficialWe understand your fear, but please maintain order. The military is working to control the situation. We will announce the locations of safe zones and supply distribution points as soon as possible.
OfficialPublic Service Announcement: It is recommended that each household stockpile at least three days' worth of drinking water and non-perishable food items for emergency situations.
WeatherWeather Brief: Partly cloudy turning overcast today, with scattered light rain in the evening, southeast wind at level 3, temperature 23 degrees. Rain may wash the streets, but please absolutely do not drink untreated water.
Survivors(Signal unstable)...My God...they really are...biting everyone they see...I'm on the rooftop, and below is nothing but...
SurvivorsIs anyone there? Can anyone hear me? Water! Secure your water first! Bottled water or...fill your bathtub!
Random(Crying) Mom! Mom, wake up! Please... Stay back! AHHH— (Signal lost)
Random...No good, the signal is too weak... Dad, Mom, please stay safe in the suburbs...

Day 1

OfficialTo all citizens: We have received numerous reports of power outages and water supply interruptions. Engineering personnel cannot operate in these dangerous conditions. Please understand and find ways to help yourselves.
WeatherWeather forecast: The rain has stopped, but cloud cover remains thick with a temperature of 19 degrees. Cold and overcast conditions may persist for the next few days. Please take measures to stay warm.
Survivors(lowering voice) ...Listen, if you have canned food but no can opener, grind it against concrete until it wears through...
RandomHelp! Is there a doctor or nurse? My husband was cut by glass, the wound is deep and it's hot to the touch...

Day 2

OfficialWe're trying to establish temporary shelters, but safety assessments are extremely difficult. Again, we strongly advise against attempting long-distance travel. Staying in familiar environments that are easier to defend is safer.
WeatherWeather Report: Cloudy with north winds, feels chilly at around 17°C (63°F). If you must make a fire for warmth, please ensure proper ventilation and take fire safety precautions.
Survivors...Check your supplies daily and calculate how long they'll last. Panic is useless, planning is useful.
Random...I shouldn't have left them behind...but I was so scared at the time...(long silence and sobbing)

Day 3

OfficialRegarding international aid, we are actively coordinating efforts, but communication remains difficult, and the outside world is equally unclear about our specific situation. We must primarily rely on ourselves.
WeatherToday's weather: Clouds gradually clearing, possible sunshine in the afternoon, temperature rising to 21°C. Good weather might slightly boost morale.
SurvivorsHey... hey! Has anyone tried making an alarm system with... empty bottles and string? I just tried it, and it works!
Random(Light dog barking in the background)...Shh, don't bark...We'll be okay...Look, we still have plenty of dog food...

Day 4

OfficialWe have noticed some survivors attempting to use fire or create loud noises to repel threats. This is extremely dangerous and may attract attention over a wider area. Please cease such activities immediately.
WeatherWeather conditions: Clear skies, high visibility. This is advantageous for observing your surroundings, but also means you're more easily exposed. Use the light cautiously.
Survivors...If you have vitamin tablets, use them sparingly. Eating canned food for too long will cause sores to develop in your mouth...
Random...I can see lights in the building across from us! Candlelight! There are still people alive! (excitedly)

Day 5

OfficialA week has passed, and we know everyone is struggling. Please remember, you are not alone. Every life that perseveres is the hope for our city's future.
WeatherWeekly Weather Outlook: Expect predominantly clear skies with gradually rising temperatures. Please take advantage of this opportunity for ventilation and airing out supplies.
Survivors(Coughing)... Damn, caught a cold... No medicine, just have to tough it out... Everyone, please don't get caught in the rain...
Random...We blocked the stairwell with old furniture, now we use the fire escape to go up and down... We're safe for now.

Day 6

OfficialWe urge survivors, if conditions allow, to signal using bright fabric at windows during specific daylight hours, helping us map approximate survivor locations.
WeatherWeather Forecast: Continued sunny, temperature 25°C, light breeze. This pleasant weather might make everyone lower their guard, but please remember, danger still lurks everywhere.
Survivors...started growing bean sprouts, just using a plate...at least it's some fresh vegetables...

WeatherWeather update: Conditions are stable with comfortable temperatures. However, according to reports, the odor problem is worsening in certain areas. It is recommended to cover your nose and mouth with a damp cloth to filter the air.
SurvivorsWho... does anyone have spare sanitary pads or painkillers? I can trade canned food for them... (voice weak)
Random...We've decided to check out the building next door tomorrow. We can't just sit here and watch our supplies dwindle...Wish us luck.

Day 9

OfficialWe have received reports about "immune individuals" or people with "special abilities." We hereby officially state that there is currently no scientific evidence supporting these claims. Please remain rational and avoid unnecessary risks.
WeatherWeather forecast: A new round of rainfall is forming. Expect significant temperature drops and precipitation over the next two days. Please be prepared.

Random(Sound of rain and wind)...It's leaking! Quick, grab a bucket to catch it!...Damn, the books are all wet...

Day 11

OfficialThe rain may create additional survival challenges for everyone, but we've observed that rainfall seems to temporarily reduce their activity levels. Please take advantage of any favorable conditions.
WeatherWeather Report: Heavy rain transitioning to light rain, temperature dropping significantly to 15°C. Feels cold - remember to wear extra layers to prevent catching a cold.
SurvivorsCold... it's too cold... I've put on all my clothes... if only I could have a hot bowl of soup...
Random...We managed to contact people in another building using the walkie-talkie! We agreed to take turns keeping watch at night...

WeatherWeather conditions: Rain gradually stopping, turning overcast. Dampness and cold are currently your biggest enemies - do everything possible to stay dry.
SurvivorsHas anyone... tried making traps with fishing line or kite string? To trip them up...
Random(Weakly)...No food left...water's gone too...I don't think...I can hold on much longer...

Day 13

OfficialWe've noticed that organized survivor groups have achieved some success in clearing small areas. This demonstrates the power of cooperation and planning. However, we still discourage large-scale, unprepared operations.
WeatherWeather Forecast: Finally, the sun is out! Sunshine all around, with temperatures rising to 20 degrees. Enjoy this rare sunshine—it can dry your clothes and brighten your mood.
SurvivorsSolar panels! Does anyone have solar panels? My cell phone is almost dead... it has photos of my family...
Random...I used a mirror on the rooftop to reflect sunlight and signal my friend across the way. He's still alive today!

Day 14

OfficialFor long-term survival, we recommend that survivors with adequate resources consider growing fast-growing vegetables in completely secure indoor environments, such as bean sprouts or garlic shoots.
WeatherWeather Brief: Continued fair weather with stable temperatures. Suitable for low-risk indoor ventilation and airing out items.
SurvivorsI tore up an old T-shirt for bandages and boiled them in water... that... counts as sterilization, right?
Random...We found a pigeon nest... Sorry, little ones... We had no choice... for survival...

Day 15

OfficialWe must be honest with you: large-scale, systematic rescue operations remain difficult to implement in the foreseeable future. The burden of survival currently falls primarily on the shoulders of each survivor.
WeatherWeather conditions: Sunny, but air quality has deteriorated, possibly due to fires in the distance. It is recommended to reduce ventilation time.
Survivors...Reading books...yes, I'm reading a book I never had time for before...it feels like...time isn't passing so slowly anymore...
Random(Nervously) ...A large group coming from the east...there are many of them...they're moving toward the city center...heads up!

Day 17

WeatherWeather Brief: Increasing cloud cover, fog expected at Night. Heavy fog will severely affect visibility, please remain vigilant.
SurvivorsFog... such thick fog... can't see anything... this feeling is more terrifying than actually seeing them...
Random(lowering voice, fearfully) ...I think I heard... movement next door... doesn't sound like them... could it be people?

Day 18

OfficialTwenty days now. We've lost so much, but we've also witnessed countless lives showing remarkable resilience. Remember, your very existence is the most powerful defiance against this disaster.
WeatherWeather conditions: Heavy fog with extremely low visibility. This weather is not suitable for any outdoor activities. Please wait patiently for the fog to dissipate.
Survivors...tying a knife to a long stick...making a spear...at least...having some ability to fight back...
Random...We're playing cards, made from old newspapers... whoever loses has to tell a joke... (laughter)

Day 19

OfficialWe cannot make promises about the future. But what we can be certain of is that as long as there's still one person fighting against fate, this city has not fallen.
WeatherWeather Forecast: The fog will gradually dissipate around noon. The following days will return to clear and dry weather.
SurvivorsRecording... I'm recording everything that happens each day... if... if someone finds this later...

OfficialWe are attempting to restore small-scale, localized power supply, possibly starting with some critical infrastructure. Please don't set your expectations too high for this; it's only an attempt.
WeatherWeather briefing: The calm before the storm. Atmospheric pressure has dropped significantly, and heavy rain seems inevitable.
SurvivorsGet all your containers out... prepare to collect water... this rain looks heavy.
Random...We used mirrors and sunlight to spell out "SOS" on the rooftop...Hoping...someone will see it...
OfficialIt's been almost a month. Compared to when we started, we've lost a lot, but we've also learned more. The essence of survival is continuous learning and adaptation.
WeatherWeather update: Torrential downpour. Visibility almost zero. Now's the time to test how sturdy your shelter really is.
SurvivorsThe rain is too loud... Can't hear what's happening outside... It's making me uneasy...
Random(Shouting over the downpour) The roof is leaking badly! We need tarps! Does anyone have extras?!

Day 12, 22:00Channel Don't spread it. Right now people will believe anything.
Day 13, 09:00South Edge A wave just went through the south side. Brutal. Seal everything sealable. Not a hint of light or sound.

Day 14, 08:00Can't Sleep It's all shrieks outside… will the door actually hold?

Day 14, 18:00Whole Family Not gambling with my kid's life. I paid for the reinforcement.
Day 14, 21:00West Side West side held. Only because we sealed everything up early, killed the power and stayed dead quiet the whole time.
Day 15, 10:00North Wall Still ongoing. Don't ease up. The first two days are the worst.
Day 16, 09:00Channel Channel says the wave has receded. Some more districts went quiet after this one.

Day 22, 19:00Old Hand Layers with newspaper stuffed between them, candles to gather heat, curl up in the smallest space possible.
Day 23, 09:00West Side Insanely cold. Pipes burst, a few streets in the West District have no water. People are melting snow and boiling it.
Day 23, 18:00Knows a Bit The pipes burst? Must be because you didn't insulate them. Back in our day, we'd wrap them in three layers of old cotton coats—they'd never freeze all winter long.
Day 24, 10:00South Edge Someone living alone on the south side didn't make it through the cold… this snap is really killing.
Day 24, 20:00Lives Alone Wood's gone. Toughing it out on body heat. Please let dawn come fast.

Day 27, 10:00Asking Around Back on my feet. What are prices like now, what will rice get me.
Day 27, 19:00Buying Rice is valuable—you can trade it for batteries and medicine. I'm buying rice here, and the price is negotiable.
Day 28, 08:00Channel Channel reminder: The next few days will bring continuous rain. Watch out for mold on stored food at home, and don't put food in damp areas.
Day 28, 18:00Old Hand Swollen bag, off smell, wrong color — toss it. Better a missed meal than gambling.
Day 29, 10:00No Name The cans I traded for earlier looked fine. Now I don't dare eat them.
Day 30, 09:00Asking Around Got hit. Ate a can I traded for, spent a day vomiting. How do you tell if something's contaminated?
Day 30, 13:00Old Hand Mild symptoms — drink lots of clean water to flush. Severe — induce vomiting fast. From now on, never eat anything from an unknown source.
Day 30, 18:00In Stock Food detection test strips—one test tells you if it's clean or not. Don't wait until you get sick to think about it. DM me.
Day 30, 19:00Skeptic The strip seller. What exactly can that thing detect.
Day 31, 10:00West Side This batch of bad food seems to have come from the north side. Be careful with anything from up there.
Day 32, 09:00Asking Around Any way to purify water besides boiling? Fuel's tight too.
Day 32, 20:00Old Hand Multiple layers of gauze filter, let it settle, sun-cure if you can. Emergency fix, holds up.
Day 33, 09:00Channel Channel says the contamination source is under control. From now on, be sharp when trading food.
Day 34, 08:00Channel Another wave. Scale is about the same as last time. Same rules — keep the noise down.
Day 34, 14:00Can't Sleep Only the second wave… is there an end to this?
Day 34, 19:00Old Hand Once you've been through one, you don't panic. Reinforce well, no light, no sound. Two to three days and it disperses.
Day 34, 20:00Old Doctor Forty years practicing medicine, and I'll just say this: pay attention to the people who got into trouble. See if they all have something in common.
Day 34, 21:00Knows a Bit Something like what?
Day 34, 22:00Old Doctor Work it out yourself. Saying more doesn't help anyone.
Day 35, 10:00North Wall Still ongoing. South side lost more this time than last.
Day 36, 09:00Channel It's over. After this one, more voices went silent on the channel.
Day 37, 10:00No Name Counted the regulars in the group. Really do seem fewer.
Day 38, 09:00West Side An outpost on the west side went dark last night. Someone went to look — door open, nobody there.
Day 38, 20:00Knows a Bit No one's here? Then they've moved. The door being open means they left calmly—if something bad had happened, the door wouldn't have been able to close.
Day 39, 10:00Asking Around Anyone know if there are still safe zones accepting people? Anything about evacuation?
Day 39, 19:00Skeptic Safe zones? Just rumors. Don't dream.
Day 40, 09:00East Side Quiet on the east side these two days. Restock and reinforce while you can.
Day 41, 10:00Old Hand Cooling off again. Cold snap might be coming back. Stock fuel early.
Day 42, 08:00Channel Broadcast says another cold wave is coming. This weather never ends.
Day 42, 18:00Asking Around Almost out of fuel. Anyone got spare? I'll trade whatever.
Day 43, 10:00West Side Fuel's got a price but no supply. My stock's almost gone too. Can't help.
Day 44, 09:00South Edge Colder than last time. This one's brutal.
Day 44, 19:00Old Hand Emergency: plastic bottles filled with hot water, stuffed in the covers. Gets you through one night.
Day 45, 10:00North Wall Someone else on the south side froze… two cold waves back-to-back. More and more can't hold on.
Day 46, 09:00East Side Supplies burned through on heating. Once it warms up, restock immediately.
Day 47, 09:00Channel It's over. Two cold waves back-to-back burned through supplies faster than expected. Everyone conserve.
Day 48, 08:00Channel Channel report: Eastern District reports large numbers of people collapsing with high fever. Suspected highly contagious disease spreading across three blocks.
Day 48, 10:00Old Hand Airborne transmission. Cover your mouth and nose and avoid contact with strangers. Stay away from crowds.
Day 48, 15:00East Side Something this big happened and the broadcast never once mentioned that hospital.
Day 48, 21:00Skeptic Of course they won't mention it. The more they avoid talking about it, the more it proves something's going on there.
Day 49, 10:00Asking Around Anyone with symptoms already — is there anything to do? No meds at home.
Day 50, 08:00Channel Eastern District and Southern District are inaccessible now. Don't go that way.
Day 50, 13:00South Edge It's starting to appear in the Western District too. Who knows how long until we have an outbreak here?
Day 50, 18:00In Stock Protection kit, mask and medicine set. I'm already selling at a loss at this price, no haggling.
Day 50, 19:00Asking Around Asked the price. One kit costs me half a month of food. Didn't buy.
Day 50, 21:00Old Hand Really works. Once you get high fever and spots, isolate yourself immediately. Tough it out for a week and you can get through it.
Day 51, 10:00East Side A whole street on the east side went silent… this thing is worse than the undead.
Day 52, 09:00North Wall That place up north where people could still live is gone too. Do not go.
Day 53, 10:00Asking Around How many days should you isolate? My family members made it through the high fever, but is it safe to make contact with them?
Day 54, 09:00Channel The broadcast says it's basically under control. The signal keeps cutting in and out.
Day 55, 10:00No Name Coming out of it. Stepped outside for air — lots of yards have never lit up again.
Day 56, 09:00West Side Don't throw away the disinfectant supplies you stockpiled back then. You'll need them again later.
Day 57, 10:00Old Hand Lesson learned: separate people at the first sign of trouble. That's better than anything else. Don't take chances.
Day 58, 08:00Channel Channel's calling another cold snap. It's only been a few days. Wave after wave.
Day 58, 19:00Lives Alone Fuel really at bottom. Not sure I can get through this one.
Day 59, 09:00Channel Brief warm-up. Use the window to restock.
Day 60, 09:00No Name Cold again. So much for it warming up. This weather makes no sense.
Day 61, 08:00Channel The cold wave has passed. Worse is yet to come—a massive zombie horde warning, bigger than any before.
Day 61, 18:00Old Hand Brace the door, retreat to the innermost room, absolutely no light, no sound. This is the big one.
Day 62, 09:00Can't Sleep The door is groaning. Can't hold much longer. Anyone got advice — say it fast.
Day 62, 14:00Skeptic With proper reinforcement they can't get in. Don't work yourselves up.
Day 62, 20:00South Edge The whole southern stretch is gone... anyone who can still run, run north.
Day 62, 21:00North Wall Stop waiting on a rescue. The whole city looks like this — nobody's coming for anybody. Save yourselves.
Day 62, 22:00Lives Alone Save yourselves… easy to say.
Day 63, 10:00East Side Day two. Outside is still a solid black tide. Don't dare breathe.
Day 65, 10:00No Name Where's the one who kept talking tough? He was still posting yesterday. Why the silence now.
Day 66, 09:00Channel Subsided. After this wave, silent districts on the channel — the most since the disaster started.
Day 67, 10:00Old Hand Anyone still around, drop a report — anything. This group can't just go silent like this.
Day 68, 10:00East Side East side barely held. Supplies won't last much longer.
Day 70, 09:00Asking Around Is there really still rescue coming? Or do we just get worn down wave by wave?
Day 71, 10:00Channel There's activity on the channel. Seems like someone is organizing an evacuation out of the city, signals are making contact.
Day 72, 08:00Channel Channel warning: armed gangs raiding survivor outposts. People are worse than the undead now — watch out.
Day 72, 19:00Ex-Army Don't light the place up like you've got supplies. Play empty, dead silent. That's the key to hiding from people.
Day 73, 10:00West Side A holdout in the West District was cleaned out, and they torched it afterward. These people are colder than the horde.
Day 74, 09:00East Side A group is smashing the yard across the street. It's people, not zombies! Broad daylight!
Day 74, 13:00Ex-Army If raiders come, do not fight over it. People matter more than things. Hide if you can.
Day 74, 18:00Can't Sleep Hiding in the storage room, no sound, listening to them tear the place apart… please don't come in.
Day 74, 21:00Lives Alone Heads up: that group headed west. West side, watch out.
Day 75, 09:00Channel The siege has lifted, but the largest zombie wave is pressing forward while those raiders launch their assault in the chaos. This is the hardest part.
Day 75, 20:00Lives Alone Our side might not hold. All these days of intel — thank you.
Day 75, 21:00Insider Been putting the pieces together these past weeks, and it sits worse the longer I think. A perfectly good hospital, hauling things in load after load in the middle of the night. For what.
Day 75, 22:00Knows a Bit What's the use of thinking about it now.
Day 75, 23:00Insider No use. I just don't want to go without knowing.
Day 77, 10:00No Name How many are still here? Fewer posts by the day.
Day 80, 10:00East Side East side still here. But the lights around us are going out, one by one.
Day 83, 10:00Old Hand Hold on. Hold on. Word is the signal really did get out.
Day 85, 09:00Channel Got through it. But districts still able to respond on this channel — down to just a few.
Day 87, 09:00Channel Channel's saying someone sent the rescue signal out. The evac team is organizing.
Day 88, 10:00No Name Did someone really make it out? Or is this another false report... will I still be here to find out.
Day 88, 21:00South Edge Sky was lit up out past the edge of town last night. Burned most of the night. Looked like it came from the hospital.
Day 88, 22:00East Side If that hospital's really gone, then whatever happened inside it — now there's nobody left who can say.
Day 90, 10:00Asking Around Where's the pickup point? How do you get there? Anyone with confirmed info?
Day 92, 10:00East Side Rally point in the north of the city. Word is rescue vehicles have come in. It's real.
Day 95, 08:00Channel Last zombie wave. Tail end. Hold on a few more days — really, just a few.
Day 95, 19:00Old Hand These last few days are when things go wrong. Don't ease up.
Day 98, 09:00Channel Channel says… rescue really is in the city. We made it.
Day 100, 09:00Channel Those still here, sound off. I'll go first—one.
Day 100, 19:00Old Hand Two.
