3Aid requests37

Once the aid platform is running, each day has a 70% chance of a new request. Each place asks for supplies and pays you back.

Industrial Research Institute 4

South District · 7 Oak Street

A materials testing lab before the collapse. The people left there keep a few machine tools running. What they need isn't food - it's the parts to keep repairing.

The institute's cold store currently runs on solar panels and a UPS. Night-time storage is insufficient, and the temperature inside rises by two to three degrees every night. Calculations show that one more power station must be added, with new switching and current-sharing circuit boards. Supplies required: Home Power Storage Station ×1, Integrated Circuit ×2, Electrical Wire ×3. The institute will solder the circuit boards itself.

From day 48

Read the letter

The institute's diesel generator stopped last week. Inspection found a cracked cylinder block, beyond repair. The institute's cold storage holds items that need continuous power, and a single outage would ruin all of them. The institute plans to switch to solar charging during the day and UPS power at night. Supplies required: Household UPS ×1, Large Solar Panel ×1. The institute will handle installation and wiring itself.

From day 60

Read the letter

More zombies have been gathering outside the institute's wall in recent days, and scraping can be heard at the iron gate at night. A few people currently take turns on watch, which cannot be kept up for long. Supplies required: Electric Trap ×1, Spike Barrier ×1, to be set up outside the main gate. The Electric Trap will be powered by a separate line from the institute's solar panel, so no power source needs to be provided.

From day 79

Read the letter

The institute plans to set up a small, sustainable breeding operation to reduce its reliance on outside meat supplies. The breeding cages have already been built. Wild rabbits breed quickly and will be the main animals raised; the squirrel will serve as a control. Supplies required: Wild Rabbit ×1, Squirrel ×1, all alive and uninjured.

St. Mary's Sanatorium 3

Across the River · 22 Willow Street

It housed elderly long-term care patients. High walls, and they held. Medicine has been short from the start; the bandages are on their third round.

Any day

Read the letter

The sanatorium ran out of disinfectant supplies last month. Dressing changes, instrument cleaning and corridor cleaning previously used about two bottles a day. Dressings are currently changed after wiping with cloth scalded in boiling water. More than thirty elderly residents live here, and any infection would be difficult to contain. Supplies required: Disinfectant Spray ×1, Strong Disinfectant Spray ×1, High-Concentration Disinfectant Spray ×1, for dressing changes, instrument disinfection and cleaning of common areas.

From day 54

Read the letter

The sanatorium's most urgent shortage is currently bandages. Several long-term bedridden residents have bedsores that need dressing every day. The gauze has run out, and cut-up bedsheets are being used instead. Supplies required: Bandage ×4, for dressing the bedsores; Disinfectant Spray ×2, for cleaning wounds before each dressing change.

Several residents of the sanatorium vomited for two days after eating food obtained from outside, and their lips turned purple; food poisoning is suspected. Cases of diarrhea have also increased over the same period. These residents can currently take only liquid food. Supplies required: Any Meds ×5, to be used first for treating symptoms; Any Vegetables ×4, to be cooked soft for liquid meals.

Sports Center Shelter 4

North District · Sports Center, Block B

Over two hundred people live under the stands. With that many, everything runs tight. Fuel is scarcer than food - the stoves can't stop.

Last night zombies broke through a section of the shelter's north fence. The gap was temporarily blocked with seats taken from the stands, but by the next morning the barrier had begun to lean. More than a hundred people live at the shelter, and the gap must be sealed securely as a priority. Supplies required: Sandbags ×2, for sealing the gap in the north fence. Sandbags are heavy and may be delivered in two trips, depending on the drone's load capacity.

From day 63

Asks for
Staple Food x3Seeds x5
Read the letter

The hundred-plus people at the shelter have been living on thin porridge and pickles for a long time. Those who haul sandbags have begun to feel dizzy, and if this continues no one will be able to do physical work. The shelter also plans to turn the vacant land at the edge of the grounds into a vegetable plot. Supplies required: Any Staple Food ×3 (rice, noodles or flatbread are all acceptable); Any Seeds ×5, for planting the vacant land.

From day 68

Read the letter

While the shelter was dismantling the stands to reinforce its perimeter wall, a section of the stands suddenly collapsed and crushed the lower legs of two workers; their wounds have begun to fester. A retired surgeon at the shelter judges that the wounds must be debrided soon, or the infection will spread through the whole body. Both the surgical instruments and the wounds must be disinfected, and the shelter has used up all of its disinfectant. Supplies required: High-Proof Alcohol ×2, for disinfecting instruments and wounds.

From day 77

Read the letter

According to the relief outpost, another large zombie horde to the north has yet to arrive, and the shelter lies on its path. The shelter has enough people to keep watch in shifts but lacks defensive equipment. Supplies required: Mechanical Chainsaw ×1, Electric Trap ×1, to be set up at the north gate; Spike Barrier ×2, to be set up on the south side.

Lincoln Elementary Shelter 4

West District · 3 Maple Street

Two teachers and some twenty children on the second floor of the classroom building. The textbooks are still there; what's missing is the small things daily life takes.

Any day

Read the letter

More than twenty children at the shelter share one large classroom. The windows leak, and cold air still gets through after they were sealed with cardboard. Some children have recently been coughing through the night. The shelter's one Electric Heater cannot heat the entire classroom. Supplies required: Electric Heater ×1, to stand at the opposite end of the classroom from the existing one. Power will come from the shelter's existing battery.

The shelter has just taken in more than forty people relocated from the south of the city. Classrooms and corridors are full. Rations are still allocated by the original headcount and fall short. Adults must be fed properly to handle foraging trips and night watch. Supplies required: meat with a total satiety of at least 400, vegetables with a total satiety of at least 200, and staple food with a total satiety of at least 400. Cooked or raw are both fine, for several days of communal meals.

From day 46

Read the letter

The shelter has been without running water for nearly twenty days, and its stored water is only enough for drinking. Last week, while desks were being taken apart to reinforce the doors and windows, several children cut their palms and calves on nails and splinters, and the wounds cannot be washed. Two of the children's wounds are already red, swollen and oozing pus, and one child began running a low fever at night. Supplies required: Adhesive Bandage ×3, to dress the infected children's wounds and keep them from getting worse.

From day 69

Read the letter

Since last month, the shelter's rations have been cut by a third, and its report has not yet been answered. Wild animals often cross the wasteland behind the playground. The shelter plans to have several older children take turns checking the traps to supplement meals. Advice on setting the traps has already been sought. Supplies required: Live Capture Cage ×2, Simple Mousetrap ×1, to be set in the wasteland behind the playground.

District Weather Station 3

West Hills · Observation Station

That white building on the ridge still logs its readings on schedule. The instruments matter more than the people - lose one and you lose an eye.

Any day

Read the letter

The station issues a daily weather forecast and gives half a day's warning before gales and rainstorms. The automatic instruments on the summit are out of service, so staff now climb up every three hours to take readings. Night work carries a risk of falls, and one accident has already occurred. Supplies required: Large Solar Panel ×1, for power; Integrated Circuit ×2, to replace the boards of the wind, rain and pressure instruments; Tempered Glass ×5, to build protective housings.

From day 57

Read the letter

The station's airdrop supplies have been cut off for more than a month. Only half a box of compressed biscuits remains for the four staff, which will not last until winter at the current rate. Wild animals are active on the hillside behind the station, but the simple snares set earlier have caught only rats. Supplies required: Live Capture Cage ×2, Simple Bird Net ×1, for obtaining food on the hillside. The drone can land on the concrete ground of the observation yard.

From day 63

Read the letter

Frost has begun to form at night on the mountain where the station stands, and both the instruments in the equipment room and the staff on duty need protection from the cold. The existing small solar panel can barely power the instruments during the day and cannot meet nighttime needs. Supplies required: Heating Stove ×1, for the equipment room; Medium Solar Panel ×1, to increase daytime power generation.

Municipal Children's Home 2

Old Town · 9 Elm Lane

Eleven children and three adults left. What they can give back is not much, all of it dug out of old belongings.

From day 54

Read the letter

The children's home currently has more than thirty children, whose daily diet consists mainly of dry rations and rice porridge. Several of the youngest have recently been vomiting frequently after meals and have lost noticeable weight. A doctor has identified the cause as a long-term lack of meat and vitamins, which will need to be restored gradually. Supplies required: Milk Custard ×2, for the youngest children; Multivitamins ×2, to be handed out daily to the older children; Any Meat ×4, for daily meals.

From day 75

Read the letter

One night last week a zombie got into the back courtyard of the children's home and was driven off by a caregiver. The courtyard wall is only about as tall as a person, and a section on the alley side has collapsed. Of the more than thirty children at the home, the youngest cannot yet walk on their own. Supplies required: Spike Barrier ×1, to be set at the alley entrance; Sandbags ×2, for sealing the collapsed section of wall. This must be dealt with as soon as possible.

This request is issued by the Regional Relief Outpost. The outpost plans to make this warehouse the supply hub for the area. As a supply hub, the warehouse's defences must be strong enough to withstand a horde. A large horde will pass through the area from Day 75 to Day 85. Completion condition: survive this horde.

From day 85

Read the letter

This commission is issued by the Regional Relief Outpost. A large zombie horde to the north has yet to arrive, and the outpost plans to set up an interception line on its path. In recent months, commissions from facilities in the surrounding area have all been handled by this warehouse, and this one is entrusted to it as well. There are many supplies, and they may be delivered in several trips. Supplies required: Mechanical Chainsaw ×1, Electric Trap ×2, to be set up on the interception line; Molotov Cocktail ×3, for the interception.

City Waterworks 2

East District · 1 Riverside Road

From day 45

Read the letter

The waterworks still has one pump running, which lifts water from the settling tank into the elevated tank that supplies three nearby residential compounds. The pump's control box recently burned out. Water is now being carried by hand, which covers only about half of the demand. Supplies required: Electronic Components ×3, to replace the parts in the control box; Wire ×4, to reweave the intake screen.

Several rotting bodies were recently found near the plant's upstream water intake; plant staff pulled them out and buried them. The plant ran out of testing reagents long ago and cannot confirm whether the water is contaminated, and some residents of nearby neighborhoods have already had diarrhea after drinking it. The plant has suspended the water supply and switched to testing with live mice: the mice are given treated water for three days, and supply resumes if nothing abnormal is seen. Supplies required: Mouse ×2, alive, for testing the drinking water.

West District Radio Relay Station 3

West District · Radio Hill

Any day

Read the letter

Every night at eight, the station broadcasts a list of missing persons for residents within listening range. The transmitter draws a heavy current, and the existing batteries cannot sustain a full broadcast, so part of the list is pushed to the next day. The antenna mast was recently bent by wind, reducing coverage. Supplies required: Large Solar Panel ×1 and Electrical Wire ×4, to rebuild the charging circuit; Stainless Steel Plate ×2, to reinforce the antenna mast.

From day 65

Read the letter

People come to the station every day asking about missing relatives. Checking requires the pre-outbreak residents' register, which is locked in a steel cabinet in the records room; the former administrator did not make it out on the day of the outbreak, and the keys were lost with them. For now, people can only be registered from verbal accounts, and the same person is often registered twice, or someone who has died is listed as missing. Supplies required: Lockpick ×1, to open the records room door; Crowbar ×1, to pry open the steel cabinet.

From day 92

Food with Morale over 10 x6
Read the letter

The station's missing persons broadcasts have been running for nearly two months, and new names are registered every Sunday afternoon. Most of those who come to register are children acting for their families, and some walk more than five kilometres. The station plans to give each child who comes to register a portion of food that will lift their spirits. Supplies required: food with Morale above 10 ×6, preferably kinds that keep well.

Central Station Metro Shelter 3

City Center · Under Central Station

The shelter's two hundred or so people currently rely entirely on outside deliveries for food. The shelter plans to turn an abandoned half of the transfer passage into an indoor vegetable plot, with grow lights in place of sunlight. The passage is damp and the walls are mouldy, so the floor and walls must be disinfected before planting. Supplies required: Plant Grow Box (Large) ×1, any seeds ×10, Disinfectant Spray ×4 (Strong and High-Concentration Disinfectant Spray are also accepted).

Three days ago, a woman at the shelter gave birth on the platform. There are no medical staff in the station, and a few residents helped deliver the baby. The mother lost a lot of blood, still cannot get out of bed, and has no breast milk; drinking water in the station is rationed per head, at less than one bottle per person per day. Supplies required: Any Eggs and Dairy ×1, for the mother's nutrition; Any Drinks ×1, for fluids.

From day 58

Asks for
Fuel (burn value) 24000
Read the letter

The shelter currently holds about two hundred people, who stay inside the station during the day. The fuel for the stove used to boil water has run out. Supplies required: fuel with a total burn value of at least 24000, for boiling water.

Municipal Grain Depot 2

North District · Mill Street

From day 62

Read the letter

A corner of the roof over the depot's Warehouse No. 1 caved in during a rainstorm, and no one has been able to get up to repair it; the water inside is now over ankle-deep. The wooden pallets under the bottom layer of grain sacks have rotted through, and the sacks are starting to get damp and sprout. This grain is the last food for two nearby resettlement sites, and at the current rate of distribution it will last only two months. Supplies required: Wooden Plank ×3, to lay new pallets and lift the bottom sacks out of the water.

From day 67

Read the letter

The depot holds grain stored before the disaster and distributes it regularly by headcount. Rats have recently become a serious problem and many grain sacks are torn; large numbers of sparrows gather on the beams and peck at the grain; stray dogs have dug a gap under the courtyard wall. Supplies required: Simple Mousetrap ×5, to set around the grain stacks; Simple Bird Net ×2, to hang under the vents and beams; Iron Animal Trap ×2, to set at the gap in the wall.

Read the letter

A barge loaded with flour has run aground on the shoals outside the dock and cannot come alongside. Unloading requires a trestle from the dock to the shoals. Some holds took on water, and the damp flour must be dried in the storehouse for about a week, or it will clump and mould. If the river rises, the barge may be washed away, so unloading must be done quickly. Supplies required: Plywood ×11, to build the trestle; Plastic Sheet ×12, to cover the grain stacks and keep the sacks dry; fuel with a total burn value of at least 12000, to dry the flour.

The fishermen at the dock go out on the river every day. Bodies often drift down from upstream, and the water is now contaminated. In the past week, five people have come down with fevers that won't break, three of them with persistent diarrhea, and there is no medicine at all on the dock. If fishing stops, the forty-odd people at the dock will lose their source of food. Supplies required: Any Meds ×5, to be given out to the sick according to their symptoms.

From day 83

Read the letter

With the flour unloaded, the dock has organised people to fish on the river. There are two small boats, and one has a damaged hull. The fish in the river are scattered, so corn must be thrown in as bait to draw them. Supplies required: Plastic Sheet ×2, to patch the hull; Corn ×3, to bait the fishing spot.

Carver Dairy Farm 2

Read the letter

The farm's cowshed is surrounded by nothing but a wooden fence. One night last week, zombies climbed into the shed and bit a pregnant cow to death; the guards didn't find out until daybreak. The farm is short-handed and cannot patrol all night, so it plans to hang cans on the fence that will rattle whenever a zombie touches them. Supplies required: Noisemaker ×3, to hang on the fence outside the cowshed as a night alarm.
