What you thinkThe first few notes are routine: "Bed 3 low blood pressure, monitor closely," "patient adjusted IV drip speed during night." Flipping further back, the handover notes start to take on a different tone: "don't assign anyone to the west room tonight, I'll watch it myself," "I took the keys to the animal cages, don't make another copy," "if the hospital asks, say it was my request, don't mention you guys." The topmost note is only half-written, with the ink smudged by hand: "once this batch of data comes in, I'll go get the approval paperwork..."
