The sports centre shelter needs six servings of staple food and ten lots of seed. Over a hundred people there get two bowls of thin porridge a day and the ones doing the hauling are starting to flag; the seed is for the strip of open ground along the edge of the grounds. Staple food is cooked on the stove — rice, noodles and flatbread all count; any kind of seed will do.
